The identity of an individual is based on how it was raised and what type of environment and circumstances existed while growing up. The cultural background is a central point in how a person is built, passed down by the parents of such individual.
Principles, morals, and ideals are greatly influence by the culture we inherited from our ancestors So what does ethical conduct actually imply? When one acts in ways which are consistent with our beliefs whether secular or derived from a moral authority we characterize that as acting ethically. Defining what is ethical is not an individual exercise however.
