College Admissions Essay Coaching
Working with your College Essay Coach allows the student to get one-on-one guidance and a fresh, professional perspective to help organize their thoughts in writing college essays. Countless parents and students have asked me to read their writing or help a student to begin the writing process. My purpose in creating College Essay Coach is to develop and share a structural framework to assist in writing the college essay.
The goal is for the student to feel accomplishment with each step taken, college essay coaching. With one-on-one meetings and homework editing, the student will college essay coaching and write a personal and impactful essay that reflects their ideas, thought process and future interests. The topics and themes will connect the student's current interests with their future college journey. The college essay writing process will help the student with the SAT and ACT writing sections and future college writing assignments.
I have developed a step-by-step process that helps to effectively manage the creative development of the college essay coaching process.
The writing process includes meetings with the student at my office or via FaceTime. For our first meeting, college essay coaching, the student will bring a rough draft or an outline of their college essay if they previously worked on school essay wrting.
If the student does not have current work to share, then together we will review the essay prompts and discuss various stories to highlight. Our discussions to evolve the writing process will include brainstorming, word exercises, and organization techniques. Collectively, the Common Application essays and specific college supplemental priompts will connect with an umbrella theme that is supported by a range of stories shedding insight into the student's values, attitudes, and interests, college essay coaching.
